Williston Airport Receives Safety Award
March 15, 2013
Amid rapid changes and plans for a future reconstruction,
Williston’s Sloulin Field International Airport has been awarded a 2012
Airport Safety Award from the FAA.
The airport won alongside Chicago O’Hare and another airport to
be announced in the Great Lakes region, which includes Illinois,
Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin and the Dakotas. The
awards program was established in 2001 and only five other airports in
the Dakotas have been recognized, Airport Manager Steven Kjergaard said.
